Your itinerary will begin from the dizzy heights of Shanghai, followed by a visit to historical city Xi’an, and finishing your tour in China’s capital city Beijing. The advantages of this tour remain the intellectually stimulating journey from beginning to end.

Discover Shanghai by visiting its many scenic spots and experience it at your own leisure. Sink into the Xi’an history of this ancient dynasty. Terracotta Warriors will be one of the many highlights included in this trip. Gaze in awe at the Great Wall in Beijing. Stroll in Hutongs to encounter local people and learn about their daily life.   • Day 1 - Arrive Shanghai
    On arrival into Shanghai and after completing any necessary Customs and Immigration formalities you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide who will transfer you to your hotel where you will spend two nights.


    Day 2 - Shanghai
    After breakfast at your hotel you will depart for a full day tour of Shanghai. Your day will include a visit to the traditional Yu Gardens; the Old Chinatown with it's twisting alleyways and many shops and hawkers and of course the Bund. Then over to Pudong to visit the Jin Mao Tower, still one of the world's tallest buildings where from the observation deck you will get a remarkable panoramic view of the city. There will also be time for a short cruise on the Huangpu River where you will see the contrasting 'traditional' and the 'new' Shanghai. In the evening enjoy a visit to an acrobatic show. (B/L/D)


    Day 3 - Shanghai / Xi'an
    Early this morning your guide will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Xi'an. On arrival your local China Holidays guide will be waiting for you and you will depart to visit the Big Goose Pagoda, the ancient City Wall, the Great Mosque and the Muslim snack street. On completion of today’s touring you will be transferred to your hotel where you will stay two nights. (B/L)


    Day 4 - Xi'an
    Today you will depart for the Terracotta Warriors Museum, one of China's top historical sites. Here you will see the magnificent Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang which has been painstakingly restored by archaeologists. On returning to your hotel there will be some free time. In the evening you will get the opportunity to sample a Chinese dumpling banquet and a performance of a Tang Dynasty Cultural Show. (B/L/D)


    Day 5 - Xi'an / Beijing
    There will be some free time this morning for you to explore Xi’an at your own pace before meeting up with your guide for lunch. After lunch you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Beijing. On arrival into Beijing your local China Holidays guide will be waiting for you and will transfer you to your hotel where you will spend four nights. (B/L)


    Day 6 - Beijing
    Today, the highlight for many visitors to Beijing, a visit to the Great Wall of China at Badaling. This is undoubtedly one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world and there will be time for you to take in this architectural wonder. In the afternoon there will be a visit to the Silk Market where negotiation skills are put to the test as you seek out some of the many bargains before returning to Beijing where there will be time to freshen up before departing for a 'Legends of Kung Fu' performance. (B/L)


    Day 7 - Beijing
    This morning you will depart to visit the most renowned Tibetan Buddhist Temple outside of Tibet - The Lama Temple, then there will be a visit to one of the few remaining 'Hutongs' the traditional local residential area by pedicab or cycle rickshaw. Here you will get an fascinating insight into the lives of the traditional Beijing citizens. After lunch you will have some free time to explore at your leisure. (B/L)


    Day 8 - Beijing
    You will spend a delightful day visiting some of the major sights of Beijing. The Forbidden City, home to two dynasties of Emperors spanning 500 years; the famous Tiananmen Square, the heart of Beijing and the architectural wonders of the Temple of Heaven. This evening enjoy a traditional Peking Duck Dinner. (B/L/D)


    Day 9 - Depart Beijing
    Today you will farewell Beijing and China as your guide meets you and transfers you to the airport for your onward flight. (B)

    Free in the morning;fly to Beijing in the afternoon.Stay for three nights.(B/L)

    Day 6:Beijing
    Climb the Great Wall,one of the most appealing attractions all around the world.Great Wall carries a considerable part of Chinese culture.It has long been incorporated into Chinese mythology and symbolism.Hiking or viewing the Great Wall is a must for Beijing first-time visitors;shopping along Silk Market;watch a“Legends of Kung Fu”performance.(B/L)

    Day 7:Beijing
    Visit the Summer Palace,in where you can find a variety of palaces,gardens and other classical-style architectural structures;stroll along“Hutongs”by pedicab or cycle rickshaw.Hutongs in Beijing are in fact alleys formed by houses of different sizes.As a carrier of the ancient culture of Beijing, he Hutongs will be charming always;free in the afternoon.(B/L)

    Day 8:Beijing
    Capture some major sights of Beijing.They are grandeur Forbidden City,famous Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven;enjoy a traditional delicious Peking Duck Dinner.(B/L/D)

    Day 9:Depart Beijing
    Farewell Beijing.This morning is free at your leisure before you are transferred to Beijing airport to board your overnight flight to Australia.(B)
