Our China Highlights tour offers four of China’s most popular and exciting cities – Beijing, Xi’an, Guilin and Shanghai. The most memorable and cannot be missed scenic spots are included here. Every minute on this tour we bring you an unforgettable experience, and every day a highlight during your journey.
 
Your first stop is Beijing, This is where you can find many famous attractions you may have heard a lot about. During your three days in Beijing, you will be escorted to visit the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace, admire the Great Wall of China, stroll along ancient architectural Hutongs, so exciting!! Then fly to Xi’an to gaze the world famous Terra Cotta Warriors. You will take a cruise meandering through Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo to enjoy the natural 10-mile art gallery. Finally an amazing journey through Shanghai, the brand new international metropolis, this will complete your tour.

  • Day 1 - Arrive Beijing
    On arrival into Beijing and after completing any necessary Customs and Immigration formalities you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide who will transfer you to your hotel where you will spend three nights.


    Day 2 - Beijing
    You will spend a delightful day visiting some of the major sights of Beijing. The Forbidden City, home to two dynasties of Emperors spanning 500 years; the famous Tiananmen Square, the heart of Beijing and the architectural wonders of the Temple of Heaven. This evening enjoy a traditional Peking Duck Dinner. (B/L/D)


    Day 3 - Beijing
    Today, the highlight for many visitors to Beijing, a visit to the Great Wall of China at Badaling. This is undoubtedly one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world and there will be time for you to take in this architectural wonder. In the afternoon there will be a visit to the Silk Market where negotiation skills are put to the test as you seek out some of the many bargains before returning to Beijing where there will be time to freshen up before departing for a 'Legends of Kung Fu' performance.     Day 4 - Beijing / Xi'an
    This morning you will depart to visit the most renowned Tibetan Buddhist Temple outside of Tibet – The Lama Temple, then a visit to the 'Hutongs' the local residential area by pedicab or rickshaw where you will get an interesting glimpse into the lives of the traditional Beijing citizens.  Then you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Xi'an. On arrival in to Xi'an, you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide who will transfer you to your hotel where you will spend three nights. (B/L)


    Day 5 - Xi'an
    Enjoy your breakfast before heading out to visit the Big Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall, then on to your hotel where there will be some time to freshen up before heading out again to visit the Great Mosque and the Muslim snack street and markets (B/L)


    Day 6 - Xi'an
    Today you will depart for the Terracotta Warriors Museum, one of China's top historical sites. Here you will see the magnificent Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang which has been painstakingly restored by archaeologists. On returning to your hotel there will be some free time. In the evening you will get the opportunity to sample a Chinese dumpling banquet and a performance of a Tang Dynasty Cultural Show. (B/L/D)


    Day 7 - Xi'an / Guilin
    After breakfast at your hotel you will have some free time before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Guilin. On arrival into Guilin your local China Holidays guide will be waiting for you and you will depart to visit the Reed Flute Cave before arriving at your hotel where you will stay overnight. (B/L/D)


    Day 8 - Guilin / Yangshuo
    This morning you depart for a leisurely cruise along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo. There will be plenty of time to sit back, relax and enjoy the views of the local people working on the river as well as the spectacular rock formations and picturesque landscapes. On arrival in Yangshuo your friendly China Holidays guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel where you will stay overnight. There will be some free time this afternoon for you to wander amongst the many market stalls and shops in Yangshuo. (B/L/D)


    Day 9 - Yangshuo / Guilin / Shanghai
    You will return to Guilin today by road and pay a visit to the Elephant Trunk Hill before departing for the airport and your onward flight to Shanghai. On arrival your friendly China Holidays guide will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel where you will spend two nights. (B/L)


    Day 10 - Shanghai
    After breakfast at your hotel you will depart for a full day tour of Shanghai. Your day will include a visit to the traditional Yu Gardens; the Old Chinatown with its twisting alleyways and many shops and hawkers and of course the Bund. Then over to Pudong to visit the Jin Mao Tower, still one of the world's tallest buildings where from the observation deck you will get a remarkable panoramic view of the city. In the evening enjoy a visit to an acrobatics show. (B/L/D)


    Day 11 - Depart Shanghai
    Today you farewell Shanghai and China as your guide meets you and transfers you to the airport for your onward flight. (B)

    An old saying goes that he who does not reach the Great Wall is not man.Today,you’ll have a chance to be a hero!It must be one of forever-memorable parts in your journey to climb the Great Wall.In the afternoon,a visit to Silk Market where your negotiation skills will be challenged.Then relaxed by watching a ‘Legends of Kung Fu’ performance.(B/L)

    Day 4:Beijing / Xi’an
    Go to Summer Palace,where you can find a variety of palaces,gardens,and other classical-style architectural structures;explore ‘Hutongs’ by pedicab or rickshaw to discover lives of the traditional Beijing citizens.Then fly to Xi’an for three nights.(B/L)

    Day 5:Xi’an
    Tour Big Goose Pagoda,which is another symbol of Xi’an,and the ancient City Wall;then visit the Great Mosque,the most important example of the Hui nationality's mosque in China;mosey over Muslim Snack street and markets,trying to bargain for some fake designer bags.(B/L)

    Day 6:Xi’an
    Admire the Terra Cotta Warriors.The Emperor Qin had mystically built his bomb with many buried ceramic tomb figures that was today's Qin Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses Figurines we found in Shanxi.These terra-cotta warriors are so vivid and true to life.It's amazing that sculpture could have attained such high artistic level at that time.Sample a Chinese dumpling banquet while enjoying a performance of Tang Dynasty Cultural Show.(B/L/D)

    Day 7:Xi’an/Guilin
    Fly to Guilin for an overnight stay.Visit the Reed Flute Cave on your way to your hotel.Entering the Reed Flute Cave,one feels as if he were touring a wonderful fairyland.Looking like the set of a science fiction movie,China's Reed Flute Cave is bathed in purple-blue light.(B/L/D)

    Day 8:Guilin/Yangshuo
    Meander along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo.You just go down the river quietly,admiring the marvelous landscape around,mountains and hills. Stay in Yangshuo for one night.Yangshuo itself is worth discovering as it is also a nice small town where you can just relax along the river or stroll in the backstreets.(B/L/D)

    Day 9:Yangshuo/Guilin/Shanghai
    Return to Guilin by road,visit the Elephant Trunk Hill on your way to Guilin Airport for your flight to Shanghai.Stay there for two nights.(B/L)

    Day10:Shanghai
    Tour traditional Yu Gardens,shopping along the Old City Town;saunter on the Bund;visit Jin Mao Tower;enjoy an acrobatic show in the evening.(B/L/D)

    Day11:Shanghai
    Farewell Shanghai.This morning is free at your leisure before you are transferred to Shanghai airport to board your overnight flight to Australia.(B)

    Day12:Arrive Australia
    Arrive home today.

    Day 6 - Xi'an
